A Crazy Week!

Click to play

It's been awhile so I'll back track a bit. I went back to work on Monday and have been enjoying the company of my sister this past week so life has been a bit hectic. Friday night we dyed Easter eggs with Camryn and Jaxon. It was nice and messy since I let Jaxon go at it with the color dye. Little did I know that color dye means...it doesn't come off! He dunked his egg into the green dye and had the Incredible Hulk hand. Too funny! Unfortunately, the pictures I did take of the kids included my exhibitionist Camryn and probably aren't that appropriate for the internet. They had a good time which is what matters.

For Madison's 10th birthday she received tickets to go see Fergie in concert at the Mandalay Bay. Yes, I had the special honor to take her. It actually wasn't too bad and I was happy to see Madison having a great time. We haven't been able to do much mom/daughter stuff for awhile so it made it more special.

The Easter bunny came on Sunday and left paw prints all over our house. Camryn was so excited to see her basket and especially the candy and 101 Dalmatian movie. The older kids just go with the flow and thank the adults for what they get. My sister and nephew arrived that evening just in time for Easter dinner. Nope, I boycotted ham. I made chicken instead!

Spring Break

Spring Break week has been a fun filled week. My in laws were here from Oklahoma which meant a week filled with visiting family and eating. It's what we all do best and enjoy. My kids were thrilled to spend time with their cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Getting everyone together for pictures was a real treat. Especially for my little ones who always refuse to look at a camera. All in all it was a great week and it was sad to see Paul's parents leave. As Camryn said, "it was time for them to go back to their barn." I don't know where she gets her phrases...

Am I the Only One?

I typically am one that loves to read anything with romance, mystery, church related, true crime, non-fiction, and fiction being my favs. I've never been a science fiction-star trek-star war-vampire-fantasy person reader, but am always willing to read something that someone recommends. Last summer my 15 year old niece told me about a trilogy set based on vampires. Yes, I first shuddered at the thought about reading my least favorite type of thing yet decided to give the first book a try. I was hooked and finished reading the entire trilogy in less than a month. Now the 4th book is coming out this year and a movie is being made. Since last summer I have reread the books over and over. I think I'm obsessed. Anyone else? Check out the website and thanks Holli!

No Camryn we don't color on our brother!

Yes, here is Jaxon with marker all over his body thanks to his sister Camryn. When I asked her why she did it she informed me she was "making artwork." Thank goodness they were washable markers. What I didn't see until later was the marker all over his back and bum. Nice!!

My boy Donald....I mean Jaxon

Anybody with a one year old will tell you that getting a picture of them is nearly impossible. I get what I can to document my funny boy. We've been calling him "Donald" because he walks like Donald Duck with his butt and tummy sticking out. On top of the Donald walk he marches. It's hilarious! His vocabulary consists of: momma, dada, baba, and sissy. His latest is telling me a story with all of his mumble jumble talk as if he is really telling me something. He loves going to the park and riding in his red buggy. His favorite foods are waffles, PB & J, fries, nuggets, and ice cream. Real healthy, right!

My camryn...how i love thee

Anyone who knows how rambunctious and imaginative Camryn is will enjoy the following pictures. I was self cleaning out the stove which produced a lot of smoke. Camryn thought the house was burning down and prepared herself with the broom and her goggles. Love that child.

Lovely day

Isn't vacation wonderful? I have two more weeks of home time before I go back to work. I have many projects that look at me daily, but I tend to want to just hang out with my kids. Wouldn't you?
