4th of July

Our 4Th of July was extremely mellow and enjoyable which is what I wanted. We swam the entire day and then feasted on hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken wings. Then topped it off with a yummy chocolate cake.

We did our fireworks (might as well just light up a $100 bill) which the kids really enjoyed. Even Jaxon joined in on the fun.

Off of my bedroom we have a balcony so at 9:30 PM we were able to watch the fireworks go off from the Aliante Casino. It was a wonderful view and as we were enjoying the beautiness of the evening we realized Jaxon and Camryn had gone inside the house and LOCKED the screen door so all of us were locked out! After Paul had a bit of a freak out he yanked on the door, breaking the lock, so we could get into the house. Pretty funny! Happy 4th of July!

For your viewing pleasure...a day in the life of Jaxon!

Summer in Vegas

During my time off my niece from Washington (she's been to Forks!) and her 3 kids came for a week long visit. We had a great time doing fun stuff around Vegas that I hadn't done for awhile. The kids all played well together and we were really sad to see them go. Next year I'm hoping to drive up to WA to spend time with my Karah and then follow her down to Vegas.

We took the kids to the drive-in to see Up. Had a great time until I lost my wallet.

Tommy and Camryn

We checked out the Lied Children's Museum which was fun. Really expensive, though.

Jaxon, Camryn, Angel, and Tommy

We swam at least 3 times a day.

We went to the Dinosaur Park to play in the water, sand, and feed the ducks. Notice that we were actually feeding pigeons instead.

We went and ate at the Rain forest Cafe. Wooo don't get me started on those prices!

We saw lots of fish at the Shark Reef! And yes, we were all dressed alike. We're dorks!

Jaxon was freaked out by the sharks. Can you tell?

Karah, Tristan, Angel, Maddie and Camryn

Girls night out to see the Bellagio fountain, FroHo at Serendipity, and pictures with those darn parrots.

It was sad to see Karah leave, but now I'm broke and I'm glad she's gone. Haha...love you Karah!
