We're Babysitting!

A teacher I work with needed a babysitter for her two hamsters and guinea pig. Of course, I volunteered even though I have never touched one of these things in my life. They came home with me for the weekend and everyone is loving the little things. At first Jaxon was freaked out everytime the guinea pig looked at him, but now he loves her. Making me think I might have to get one. Poor Paul!

You are one brave mama!! I dread the day I have to get a creature as a pet! Yuck! But I am sure the kids totally love it!!

You are crazy! I hope it doesn't poop all over you... :) I bet your kids are having a blast with them.

Yea, I don't do rodent-reptile-bug-like things so this is a big deal for the fam. As of tonight, I'm done with the rodents since they smell and Camryn won't leave them alone. They sure are cute, though.

LOL! Wait till the little hamster yawns and his whole head turns inside out (at least that's what it looks like!) It's pretty gross. My hamster wasn't very nice. He was a nipper and his teeth were really sharp. I used to put him in his ball and let my poodle bat him around the house. Ahh...sweet revenge! Actually, I think he quite liked it :(

I remember having hamsters when I was younger and I was amazed at how much food they could fit in those cheeks! It was gross because they would shove their poop in there. Plus they stunk if you didn't clean the cage every couple of days. At least they are not staying!

Wow you are brave. They look kind of like big ones too. I would be afraid I'd kill the things on accident and then i'd live with guilt forever!
